We have a small portable, but powerful ultrasound unit. On a daily basis this machine is used to check abdomens for urine so unnecessary sampling can be avoided with there isn't sufficient fluid. Routine full abdominal ultrasounds can also be performed to rule out some diseases and cancers. In cases where things are more complicated, Animal Haven clinic employs an ultrasound specialist who comes to our practice to do both heart and abdomen studies.
